What is Pranayama?

What is Meditation?
Meditation is freeing the mind from all foreign intrusions, calming one’s thoughts, and being entirely at peace within one’s
own head.

About inversions
Viparita karani, the concept behind inversion poses, is translated as meaning 'opposite process'. This refers to cultivating a different
perspective: inversions, literally and figuratively, turn your views and thoughts on their head.
Ayurveda considers that many of the body's impurities are in the lower abdomen, so raising the feet above the head encourages gravity to move
these impurities towards what the Ayurvedic system calls agni ('fire') – this particularly relates to our 'digestive fire', and so is located above our lower
abdomen.
A lot of yoga is designed to help you change mental and physical habits. Who you are on the mat represents who you are in your daily life.
Therefore, by increasing your ability to adapt to change, you escape old habitual reactions and responses, and further your capacity for growth.
